HUMAN-FILM: Filmmaking Community (Alumni)

About Us

Human-Film is Singapore's first crowdsourcing community for providing opportunities to filmmakers to create innovative video content for brands and corporations. Our community comprises filmmakers, animators, motion graphics artists, VFX/CGI/VR/AR artists, writers and programmers. We are opening an invitation to all SOTA alumni with filmmaking expertise to join our community and use our portal to access frequent projects launched by clients.

What We Offer

We release frequent client briefs only to registered members of our community — sign-ups are required because these briefs are confidential. If you have ideas for a brief, you can pitch them for the clients to shortlist. Selected ideas will then go into production, and you will receive payment for your work. We have production budgets ranging from S$5-15K and above depending on scale and timeline. Throughout the process, all the IPs of clients and applicants, even the pitches that were not chosen, will be strongly protected. We are dedicated to creating a healthy and reliable environment for crowdsourcing, thus generating healthy competition to boost the quality of ideas.

As a film community, we also organise exclusive closed-door screenings, talks and group discussions or critique sessions over drinks, technical workshops conducted by VFX/CGI/motion graphics/VR artists and filmmakers, and more. We value every single member of our community, and see much importance in a culture of sharing and growth.

What's in it for filmmakers?

  • Opportunity to create films (short form, ads, marketing campaigns, etc) for top brands
  • Opportunity to develop your portfolio and learn how to write winning pitches
  • Opportunity to work directly with big-name clients who have higher budgets
