The Chippendale Creative Precinct (CCP) is delighted to share with you its Call out for Entries to the Chippendale World Art Residency (CWAR), formally known as the Chippendale New World Art Prize.

Now in its fifth year, the CWAR is a recognised international art prize. The top three winners this year will receive six week residencies in Provence, France at the prestigious NG Art Creative Residency Program established by Nicky Ginsberg, President of CCP. This residency will help emerging and established artists enhance their painting skills with constant encouragement and guidance by Nicky Ginsberg. The winners will also have an exciting opportunity to showcase their work to the local French community in the gallery within the homestead.

The program is accepting paintings from International and Australian artists this year and we would love it if you could extend our call of entries to your student artists. To enter the competition artists have to submit a painting of a landscape that captures the essence of their surroundings or a sense of home. The brief is free to artistic interpretation and artists are encouraged to voice their creative ideas through their work.
